Biography
Transentience is founded in the spring of 2005 by gitarist Kristof Elst. A tight rhythm-section is found in drummer Kace Huiszoon and bass player Rene Bouwer. It is with this line-up that the first songs are composed.. Later that year, Transentience adds keyboard player Joop de Rooij and singer Carmen Agsteribbe. These two musicians add melodious lines to the existing musical concept. Transentience is complete!
The music of Transentience can be best defined as symphonic metal with progressive and gothic influences. A dared musical mix arises by combining the different backgrounds of the members of Transentience. The songs are sometimes sensitive and raw and unrelenentingly heavy at other times. Traditional song lines combined with splendid, yet subtle synthesizer-sounds are combined and varied with driving guitar- and basriffs. It is entirely supported by the envigorating rhythms of the drums.
Because of the diversity in styles, it is difficult for Transentience to be placed within an existing framework. An opinion is most easly formed by attending one of our concerts. All musicians have many years of experience on both domestic and foreign stages. They know how to captivate their audience from start to end.

Wij zijn vandaag wezen kijken en zijn diep onder de indruk. De demo-nummers klinken niet geweldig, maar live wordt er absoluut een geweldig stuk muziek neergezet. Zangeres Carmen zingt alles, van complete gekte (á la Helena Michaelsen) tot schitterende opera, ondersteunt door een solide muzikale achtergrond. En niks klinkt geforceerd of krachteloos, zoals bij veeeeele gothicmetal-achtige bands. Pure power en expressie!
Mocht iemand deze band beter willen leren kennen, ga ze dan snel eens live bekijken. Impressive!

Ik vind het lastig om te horen hoe het echt live klinkt via het filmpje...
Was er wel veel publiek? Of stonden ze meer naar achter? Het is altijd zo jammer als ze niet naar voren komen..
Misschien moeten we eens samen optreden..
Ik heb jullie in het Archeon jammer genoeg niet gezien. Daar speelden wij ook.
